Welcome to yet another installment to the Life Stories series, where my readers have a chance to encounter everyday moments in my family. Even more exciting, is that this series is a partnership with many talented photographers across the world, so as you read through you have the opportunity to click on and continuing reading through the circle… be sure that you do!
This month marked the 9th birthday of my baby girl… I cannot believe how time flies! Being the big girl that she is, it is always a daunting task to determine the birthday party location and activities. This year, we agreed upon a local paint your own pottery place – since my daughter definitely has an artistic side.
With all of that, I present to you the story of the painted butterfly!
It all starts when you pick your piece of pottery, pay no attention to the silly young lady who decided to balance it on her head (yeah, that’s my daughter!)
After you have your piece, you must clean it…
And of course there are numerous paint colors to choose from…
Now that you have your colors, its time to get your table and materials prepped…
Time to get to work!
After all of the hard work, you turn it over for the glazing and firing…
And this of course is where the magic happens… because when you get it back, your piece comes to life!
Happy 9th birthday my sweetheart, I hope your day was magical!
Now, do not forget to continue to read through the Life Stories circle. By clicking here, you can see the beautiful work by the very talented Kelly McCormick of Kelly Mack Photography, located all the way in Australia! Click on, you know you want to!
